SHIRLEY BUTLER Shirley June Butler, daughter of Forrest Edward and Gracie Opal Coryell Meads, was born, January 26, 1943 in Lebanon, Missouri. She departed this life, Saturday, September 19, 2015, in Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of seventy-two years, seven months and twenty-four days. On July 19, 1965 in Miami, Oklahoma, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Ray Butler and through this union they devoted their love and lives to raising not only their own children, but many foster children as well. Together they shared thirty years of marriage until his passing on April 29, 1996. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, James Edward Butler and two brothers, Gary Eugene Meads and Forrest Monroe Meads. Survivors include three children, Rozella “Roz” Wilson and husband Carl, Tracy Rasco and Aaron Thompson and companion Kristin Dickelman all of Camdenton, Missouri; five grandchildren Jansen Wilson, Kendra Rasco, Jaidyn Thompson, Austin Allen, Dominick Dattolli; three sisters, Joyce Ross and husband Charles of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Barbara Thomas of Camdenton, Missouri and Betty Wrinkle of Lebanon, Missouri; sister-in-law Patsy Meads of Springfield, Missouri and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Shirley was raised in the Camdenton area and was a graduate of Camdenton High School in the Class of 1961. She and her husband, Kenneth owned and operated the Camdenton Launderette for many years prior to their retirement. Shirley made a dedication of faith and attended Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church until personal health issues led her to worship at home. She loved her family dearly and her grandchildren caused a twinkle in her eyes. She was also lovingly referred to as Grandma or Mom by many who chose to never use her given name. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and a caring neighbor and friend. She touched many lives and we know that her memory will be cherished by those who knew and loved her.
