Shirley L. Tomlinson

Shirley Lee Tomlinson, daughter of George Ray and Grace Mae Andrews McDougal, was born, April 11, 1953 in Elmira, New York. She departed this life, September 12, 2019, in Laurie Care Center, Laurie, Missouri at the age of sixty-six years, five months and one day. On August 17, 1990, she was united in marriage to the love of her life, David D. Tomlinson. Together they shared twenty-nine years of marriage She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Connie Carroll. She is survived by her husband, David Tomlinson of Camdenton, Missouri,; children, Tim Hable and wife Kristin of Erin, New York, Randy Williams of Camdenton, Missouri, Michele Dunham of Linn Creek, Missouri, Tiffany Brooks and husband Shawn, Pacific, Missouri, Becca Renteria and Louis of San Marcos, California,; seven grandchildren, Brianna, Marina, Vanessa, Rocky, Kelsey, Maelie, and Emma; four siblings, Ken McDougal and wife Sharon of Kentucky, Roy McDougal of New York, Bob McDougal of Maryland, and Jan Weeks and husband Eddie of Camdenton, Missouri, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Shirley was raised in the Horseheads area in New York and moved to Camdenton area to make her home in 1976. She worked as a type setter at the Revelle Newspaper for years, a bookkeeper in the family business and at High Brothers for several years, and a fit instructor at Curves. Shirley made a profession of faith in Christ and was baptized into the Methodist faith. She was very talented in photography and painting but found her peace when she was caring for her beautiful garden and mowing her lawn. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, daughter and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 21, 2019, in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton, Missouri. Visitation will be from 11:00 until the time of services in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Walk, "Team Shirley" of Lake of the Ozark and left at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton, Missouri.
