Sid Krahl

SID KRAHL Sidney Gus Krahl, son of Henry Frederick and Emma Elizabeth Danuser Krahl, was born, October 19, 1922 in Linn Creek, Missouri. He departed this life, Saturday, June 28, 2014, in Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of ninety-one years, eight months and nine days. On February 19, 1949 in Lebanon, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Margaret June Wilson and to this union three children were born. Together they shared fifty years of marriage until her passing on May 14, 1999. He was also preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Catherine Linn and three brothers, Ben, Fred and George Krahl. Survivors include his sons, Ben Krahl and wife Cathy of Montreal, Missouri and Eddie Krahl and wife Judy of Crocker, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Kendal Krahl, Jason Krahl, Ginger Kegley and husband Tommy, Kristian Krahl, Dwayne Krahl, Kimberly Clark and husband Matthew and Chris Linn and husband Chris Carleton; two great-grandchildren, Devin Krahl and Sydney Carleton and a host of other relatives and many friends. Sid was a life-long resident of Camden County. He served his country proudly in the United States Army. He was a farmer and in his later years worked at Osage House Resort and Tan-Tar-A. Sid made a profession of faith and was a member of Linn Creek Baptist Church. In his spare time, he loved to coon hunt. He enjoyed time spent working his cattle and in his garden. He was a loving father and grandfather and a caring neighbor and friend. He touched many lived during his years on earth and his memory will linger on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 2, 2014 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Burial with military honors will follow in Freedom Cemetery, Montreal. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m., Wednesday in the funeral home. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
