Stanley Conner

STANLEY CONNER Stanley Joseph Conner, son of Tobe and Flora Mae Wood Cain was born, September 11, 1955 in Tuscumbia, Missouri. He departed this life, Thursday, July 29, 2010, in Capital Region Medical Center, Jefferson City, Missouri at the age of fifty-four years, ten months and eighteen days. On June 12, 1976 in Old Path Baptist Church of Eldon, he was united in marriage to Betty Darlene Burch and to this union three children were born. Together they shared thirty-two years of marriage before her passing on December 30, 2008. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Flora and Tobe Cain. Survivors include his children, Helen Chistensen and husband Charley of Montreal, Missouri, Joseph Conner and wife Joy of Eldon, Missouri and Gina Conner of Montreal, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Anna, Ashley, Matthew, Madaline, Olivia, Elizabeth and Joseph; two sisters, Bonnie "B.J." Friedly of Windsor, Missouri and Margaret Ahart of Tuscumbia, Missouri and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Stanley was raised is Eldon and lived most of his life there. He moved to the Montreal area five years ago. He worked as a cook at Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach. Stanley made a profession of faith and was a member of Myetta Missionary Baptist Church. While living in Eldon, he was a member of Old Time Gospel Church. He was an avid fisherman who also enjoyed hunting. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and uncle and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 5, 2010, in Myetta Missionary Baptist Church. Memorial donations may be made to a fund established to assist the family and left at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton
