Stephanie Anne (Deline) Skinner, 74, of Roach, Missouri was killed July 3, 2024 in a car accident returning to home after playing Canasta with her cards club. Born in Hannibal, Missouri on March 12, 1950 to Marjorie (Flick) and John Deline, very gentle and kind parents who instilled in Stephanie a dedication to service and a mindset to always be loving and kind to her neighbors, friends, family, and community. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Mike, several aunts and uncles: Ruby Bramblett, Ethel Nicosia, Charles (Bud) Flick, Frank Deline, Sr., James (Jim) Deline, Martha Bush, Mary Mayol, Mary Frances (Fanny) Rummans; as well as many cousins.
Loving wife for forty-six years of Tom Skinner; dearest mother to Melissa (Ali) Skinner-Husain, Summer (Ken) Anderson, and grandchildren Johnathan and Michael Anderson and Megan Wheeler; dearest sister, of Christy Jeffries and sister-in-law of Terry (Janice) and Tim (Marilyn Amstutz) Skinner, and Mary Skinner Scott; dear aunt to Rachel and Nick Jeffries, JoLynn (Tom) Deal, and Levi Deline; great-aunt to Adeline Aliksa, Kiley and Chloe Howland, and TJ and Hank Deal.
Stephanie went to Catholic schools, but graduated from Hannibal High School where she topped her classes and was a member of Student Council. She was employed for twenty-six years and Southwestern Bell/AT&T, where she excelled in promotion after promotion. She also immensely enjoyed a second career as an Adult Education teacher at the Lake Career and Technical Center.
The many who were lucky enough to meet her often enjoyed playing cards, attending book club, watching movies, traveling, and organizing and hosting theme parties with her. Stephanie also enjoyed watching British TV Shows, gardening, and going to open houses together with her husband, Tom.
As a longtime member of Beta Sigma Phi, Steph’s service work included many children’s charities and hospitals and supporting the local food bank. Privately, she also donated money to charities for the blind (Misty, her eldest daughter was born blind in one eye), Dogwood Animal Shelter Thrift Store, candidates for the Democrat Party, and school trip or scouting fundraisers for any kid who asked her.
Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm Friday, July 12, 2024 in the Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Camdenton, Missouri. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, July 12, 2024 in the funeral home.
A Celebration of Life will also be held at the James O’Donnell Funeral Home in her hometown of Hannibal, Missouri on Friday, July 26, 2024 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm; reception to follow.
