Stephen Glenn Howard, son of Thomas Glenn and Florine Josephine Norton Howard, was born, April 10, 1953 in Ottumwa, Iowa. He departed this life, November 27, 2019, in his home, Linn Creek, Missouri at the age of sixty-six years, seven months and seventeen days. On June 6, 1986, he was united in marriage to Lois Ann Taylor at the Community Christian Church, Camdenton, Missouri. He was preceded in death by parents and a brother Mike Howard. Survivors include his wife, Lois Ann Howard of Camdenton, Missouri; his three children, Cara Howard, Cory Howard and Katie Howard Anton; a grandson, Brycen Howard; a granddaughter, Grace Anton; his brother, Jim Howard and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Stephen was raised and attended school in Ottumwa, Iowa before proudly serving his country in the United States Navy. He was in active duty from 1971-1973 during the Vietnam War where he earned the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Meal and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. After leaving the military he worked at Tan-Tar-A as a Maintenance Engineer for twenty-five plus years. Stephen attended Ozarks Hills Church in Osage Beach, Missouri. In his spare time, he was very active in the Lake of the Ozarks Soccer Association and had coached many soccer teams including the Lady Eagles Traveling Team and the Pinnacle Eagles Traveling Boys Team. Stephen never knew a stranger. He loved working with kids, coaching sports, helping in any way with his children’s sports activities. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends.
