STEVE DEPPERSCHMIDT Steven L Depperschmidt, son of Edwin and Lucille Moore Depperschmidt, was born, March 14, 1964 in Dodge City, Kansas. He departed this life, Wednesday, January 22, 2014, in his home, Camdenton, Missouri at the age of forty-nine years, ten months and eight days. On September 25, 1993 in Garden City, Kansas, he was united in marriage to Jerri Marie Pelser and to this union two sons and a daughter was born. Together they shared twenty years of marriage. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Candy Gatlin and a daughter, Taylor Marie Depperschmidt. Survivors include his wife, Jerri Depperschmidt; two sons, Blake Depperschmidt and Brock Depperschmidt all of the home; five siblings, Nancy Roads, Phil Gatlin, Johnny Gatlin, Andy Depperschmidt and Eddrena Depperschmidt and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Steve was raised in Garden City and Kinsley, Kansas and was a graduate of Garden City High School in the class of 1982. After his marriage to Jerri, they made their home in Dodge City, Kansas and moved to the Lake of the Ozarks in 2001. He worked as a meat cutter most of his life in various grocery stores including Gerbes and Woods Supermarket. He was recently working in internet sales. Steve attended the Potters House of Camdenton. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed fishing anytime he got the chance. He loved the outdoors, especially four-wheeling and camping with his family. He was a loving husband, father, brother and uncle and a caring neighbor and friend. He made an impact on many lives and his memory will linger on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 26, 2014 in Potters House of Camdenton. Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society or a College Fund established for his boys and left at the funeral home or the church the day of the service. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
