STEVE HOLLAND Steven Neil Holland was born, April 6, 1954 in Kansas City, Missouri. He departed this life, Wednesday, September 23, 2009, in University Hospital, Columbia, MO at the age of fifty-five years, five months and seventeen days. On May 12, 1979 in Belton, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Mary Ellen Barton and to this union two children were born. Together they shared the past thirty years of marriage. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Survivors include his wife, Mary Holland of the home: his father, Joseph Holland and wife Anni of Belton, MO; a son, Alex Holland and wife Leah of Pulaski, New York; a daughter, Desiree Carrillo and husband James of Montreal, Missouri; three grandchildren, Trentin Neil Holland, Olivia Rose Holland and JaymeRee Carillo; two brothers, Paul Holland and wife Doris of Clever, Missouri and Craig Holland of Kansas City, Kansas; a sister, Vallory Holland of Edwards, Missouri and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Steve was raised in the Kansas City area and was a graduate of Ruskin High School in the class of 1972. After high school he entered the U.S. Army and proudly served his county. After being honorable discharged, Steve moved to Belton, Missouri where he met and married Mary. They later moved to Kansas and then to the Lake of the Ozarks in 2002. Steve worked as an automobile painter for many years and was currently doing fiberglass work on boats. Earlier in life Steve had been a Boy Scout and later served as a Scout Leader for his son's den. He loved motorcycles, especially Harley-Davidsons. He had been a member of the ABATE Motorcycle Club for several years. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, swimming, skiing, boating and anything to do with the outdoors. Most of all, he enjoyed time spent with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and uncles and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 30, 2009 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to a fund established to assist the family and left at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton.
