SYBLE (WEBSTER) CULLEN Syble (Webster) Cullen, daughter of Fred J. "Fritz" and Zella (Rucker) Webster, was born, December 22, 1922 in Camden County, Missouri. She departed this life, Friday, November 30, 2007 in Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of eighty four years, eleven months and nine days. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Bobby Gene "Bear" Webster; two brothers, Leo and Emmitt Webster and a son-in-law, Freddie Blackstock. Survivors include two daughters, Elizabeth Blackstock of Waxahachie, Texas and Lois Keene and husband Larry of Afton, OK; a daughter-in-law, Laura Wright of Camdenton, Missouri; six grandchildren, Randy Davis of Eldridge, Missouri, Tony Blackstock of Euless, Texas, David Blackstock of Arlington, Texas, Debbie Turner of Fairfield, Texas, Melinda Howell of Springfield, Missouri and Justhan Webster of Strafford, Missouri; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; six sisters, Mary, Liz, Daisy, Bertha, Norma and Pagie; two brothers, Fred and Sam and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Syble was the oldest of eleven siblings and a life-long resident of Camden County. As a young girl, she began working at the castle at Ha Ha Tonka. She continued to work there and lived in the water tower for a time. She was in the castle when it caught fire and burned in 1942. Once the castle burned, she found work at Blair Cedar in Camdenton, where she retired after forty years of service. She was saved at an early age at Webster Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Syble enjoyed sewing and made many beautiful clothes and quilts. She spent many hours gardening where she grew lovely flowers and vegetables and did a lot of canning. In her earlier days she enjoyed fishing. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 6, 2007 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home with Reverend Dean Rooffener officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Horeb Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday in the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton.
