Thomas Douglas Black, son of the late Thomas Laird and Verna (Worm) Black, was born on May 22, 1955 and departed this life on January 30, 2025. At the time of his passing, Thomas was sixty-nine years of age.
Thomas was preceded in passing by his parents; wife, Denise Black; and brother, Ranley Black.
He is survived by his three children, Miriam & husband John Taylor, Deborah Black, and Ruth Black; four siblings, Kelton & wife Sharon Black, Heather Black, Duncan Black and Stuart & wife Christina Black; and two grandsons, Liam Horton and Logan Bilokury. In his passing, Thomas leaves behind many nieces, nephews, friends and other family who will all truly miss him.
Thomas was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and later would move to Somerset, England at the age of nine. It was in Somerset where he would attend school and later attend university in Nottingham, England, obtaining his degree in IT and Computer Science. He would utilize his degree, devoting his career to computer sciences and technology until his retirement. On February 20, 1982, he was united in marriage to Denise Cox. Following his retirement, Thomas would move the family to Camdenton, Missouri to be closer to his parents and raise his girls.
Thomas made a profession of Jewish faith, to which he was faithfully devoted and would later be ordained as a Rabbi.
In his spare time, Thomas loved the culinary arts and would thoroughly enjoy baking various meals and deserts for his family; However, the family favorite of his prepared treats, had to be his homemade pizza. Thomas also loved to watch Star Wars, Star Trek and Lord of the Rings.
Thomas a loving and generous father and friend. Together we celebrate his life and will forever cherish the many memories he created for his family and friends.
