He graduated from Climax Springs High School in the class of 1983. After graduation, he attended State Fair College and received his Electrical Engineering Degree. He went back east to do construction. While he was there, he made many friends and they had a lot of laughs. He then came back home and worked with Stromborg-Carlson installing telephone switches. He was then sent to Nebraska where he met the love of his life, Rhonda. The moment Rhonda saw him, she knew she had found what she had been looking for. They were united in marriage four years later in Poppies gazebo. He then went to work for Century Telephone in Hardy, Arkansas as an engineer and later moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma and worked for Infinitec and this is where he found his true calling as a salesman. He was the top salesman in the country for whichever company was lucky enough to have him, largely due to his care of his customers who also became his lifelong friends. They then moved back to Strafford in 1999 where Tom and Rhonda started their family in 2000. In 2004, they moved to Climax Springs and made this their lifelong home. He was very proud of his children furthering their education. Tommy is attending University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri and Camille is a junior at Climax Springs High School. Tom’s passion was taking care of the family and the family farm, which he had restored. He had started a beef cattle business also, while he was still traveling and making his sales. Tom made a profession of faith and was a member of Climax Springs Presbyterian Church. He would often pray, “Lord keep them healthy, and I’ll worry about the happy”. In his spare time, Tom served on the Climax Springs School Board for several years, and was the Climax Springs Alumni Association President. He loved to hunt and was a “deer hunting fool” as his family said. He loved being outdoors in many ways, such as camping, traveling with his family, motorcycle riding and hanging around with his friends aboard “Seas the Moment”. He had also earned the honor of receiving a speeding ticket in every state which he was very proud of……Personal motto; “Go big or go home”. Tom was a truly giving man to his community and if you knew him you truly loved him. He loved every minute of being a dad. He was a loving husband, dad, son, brother, uncle and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends.
