TOM KOTH Thomas Arthur Koth, was born, April 22, 1956 in Storm Lake, Iowa. He departed this life, Friday, June 27, 2014, at the age of fifty-eight. On June 12, 1982 in Storm Lake, Iowa, he was united in marriage to Julie Ann Bentley and to this union two sons were born. Together they shared thirty-two years of marriage. He was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Terri Carver. Survivors include his wife, Julie Koth of Montreal, Missouri; two sons, Tony Koth and wife Ashlee of Linn Creek, Missouri and Nick Koth of Springfield, Missouri; two grandsons, Gavin and Zayne Koth; his mother, Glenice Koth of Iowa; a brother, Dan Koth of Texas; a sister-in-law, Kristie Michitsch and husband Robin of Jefferson City, Missouri; a niece and nephew, Taylor and Rex Michitsch and a host of other relatives and many friends. Tom was raised in Iowa and attended school in Marcus, Iowa and later attended tech school in Sheldon, Iowa. He started his first air conditioning company in Dallas, Texas at the age of twenty-six. Tom and Julie returned to Iowa to be near family in 1987 where he owned and operated a rental center and air conditioning business in Spirit Lake, Iowa for many years. They moved to Lake of the Ozarks in 2008. He and his son, Tony owned and operated Tom's Air Conditioning north of Camdenton. Tom was a Christian man. He was a true outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, canoeing and golf. He planted many trees at Loon Lake, Minnesota. There was not anything Tom set his mind to that he could not accomplish. He worked tirelessly to provide for his family. He built several homes. Tom never met a stranger. He was a life-time member of the N.R.A. and was a gun collector. He was a member of the Fun Runners Car Club. He loved old cars and restored many throughout the years including a 1961 Biscayne for his son, Nick and 1966 GTO for his son, Tony. He was a member of the West Lake Chamber of Commerce where he served as president of the Leads group. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5-6 p.m., Tuesday in the funeral home. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
