Tricia Shrauger

Tricia Kay Shrauger, daughter of Claudie and Grace (Witt) York, was born May 4, 1957 in Waynesville, Missouri. She departed this life Thursday, July 21, 2022 in University Hospital, Columbia, Missouri, at the age of sixty-five years, two months, and seventeen days. On September 24, 1977, Tricia was united in marriage to Melvin Shrauger and to this union two children were born. Tricia was preceded in death by her mother, Grace York. She is survived by her husband, Melvin Shrauger, of the home; her daughter, Jennifer Finley and husband Chris, of Montreal, Missouri; her son, Justin Shrauger and wife Brandy Shrauger, of Montreal, Missouri; her grandchildren, Cole and Caitlyn Finley and Ellie and Delanie Shrauger; her father Claudie York of Crocker, Missouri; a sister, Susie Hill and husband Dana, of Tuscumbia, Missouri; a brother, Trent York and wife Helen, of Crocker, Missouri; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and many dear friends. Tricia grew up in Crocker and was a graduate of Crocker High School in the Class of 1975. Following her marriage to Melvin, Tricia made her home in Linn Creek. A few years later, Tricia started her career in the Camden County Recorders Office and served for thirty-three years and retired as Deputy Recorder. In her spare time, Tricia enjoyed working in her flower garden and spending time with her family and friends. Tricia was always happy and had an infectious laugh. She was also an excellent cook and loved making many delicious meals for her family. Tricia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her accomplishments and will treasure the many wonderful memories she has created for her family and friends. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, July 25, 2022 from 2-4:00 pm at the Missouri Trapshooters Association (MTA) Gun Club at 51 Trapshooters Lane, Linn Creek, Missouri. All are welcome to attend.
