Tronnie “Denzil” Blair, son of the late Jesse L. & Luella G. (Seavers) Blair, was born on July 18, 1936, and departed this life on March 2, 2024. At the time of his passing, Denzil was eighty-seven years, seven months and thirteen days of age.
Denzil was preceded in passing by his parents; his wife of fifty-three years, Ima Jean Blair; son-in-law, Roy Heimbeaugh; and his grandson, Cody Jeffries.
He is survived by his three children, Tronnie C. & wife Earlene Blair, Tammy Heimbeaugh, Thalia & husband Barney Porter; eight grandchildren, Tronnie B. & wife Laurie Blair, Mandy Blair & Dave Vincent, Chris & wife Stephanie Heimbeaugh, Mike & wife Korrin Heimbeaugh, John Ryan & wife Brenda Jeffries, Amanda Jeffries, Garett & wife Mailyn Jeffries, and Jennifer Morgan; seventeen great-grandchildren & one on the way; and three great-great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind many friends and other family members who will all truly miss him.
Denzil was born in Lyons, Kansas but spent his childhood in various places before the family settled in Roach, Missouri. After he finished his schooling, Denzil joined the United States Air Force, where he proudly served his country for ten years. On October 3, 1954, Denzil was united in marriage to Ima Jean Rogers while he was stationed in Champagne, Illinois and to this union, three children were born. While Denzil was serving in the United Air Force, they moved to various places across the country and settled back in their hometown of Camdenton, Missouri in 1963 to raise their family. At this time, he began his thirty-two year career working for Missouri Department of Transportation in the highway division in Camdenton.
Together they enjoyed farming, gardening, and raising their children. Later in life, their favorite pastime was camping with their children and grandchildren.
Denzil was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, Great-great-grandfather and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will cherish the memories he created for his family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4;00-6;00 p.m., Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. A committal service will be held in Allee Memorial Gardens, Camdenton, Missouri, following the funeral. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Integrity Hospice or Tunnels to Towers Foundation in Denzil’s memory and left with the funeral home.
Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home.
