Valissa Joy Corado was born May 4, 2001 in Los Angeles, California. She departed this life Thursday, March 19, 2020 in University Hospital, Columbia, Missouri, at the age of eighteen years, ten months, and fifteen days. Valissa was preceded in death by her Grandmalita, her uncle John, and aunt Paulene. She is survived by her father, George Corado, of Climax Springs, Missouri; her brother, Vincent Corado and wife Celena Corado, of Camdenton, Missouri; two sisters, Valerie Corado and her husband Luke Esmon, of Climax Springs, Missouri, and Violet Corado, of Climax Springs, Missouri; her grandparents, Tony and Sue Corado, of Versailles, Missouri; her fiancé, Jake Reed, of Springfield, Missouri; her aunts and uncles, Marlene Lundquist, Tony Corado, Carlene Townsend and husband Jeremy, Priscilla Hays and husband Coty, Peter Corado, Christian Corado and wife Keanna, and Anna Corado; great-grandma, Carlene Scholl; a cousin, Marina Lundquist; as well as a host of other relatives and many dear friends. Valissa spent her childhood living in Los Angeles, California and moved with her family to Climax Springs, Missouri in 2012. She was a graduate of Climax Springs High School in the Class of 2019 where she was a member of National Honor Society, Student Council and was selected to attend Missouri Girls State. She was currently attending OTC in Springfield, Missouri and was a member of the OTC Honor Society and was majoring in Political Science with plans to be a Criminal Lawyer. In her spare time, Valissa enjoyed studying law, working out and traveling. She was a kind soul and loved to make people laugh and cherished the time spent with her nieces. Valissa was a loving daughter, sister, fiancé and aunt. We will treasure the many wonderful memories she has created for her family and many dear friends.
