Verlin Ray Latham, son of Lena and Verlin Latham, was born on April 14,1951 in Hayti, Missouri. He departed this life on Sunday June 26, 2022, in his home in Camdenton, Missouri. At the time of his passing, he was seventy-one years, two months and twelve days of age. He was preceded in death by his father, Verlin Latham; brother, David Latham; sister, Judith Latham; father-in-Law, Walter Lee; mother-in-law, Helen Lee; sister-in-law, Kathlyn Naunheim; aunt, Loleda Hickerson; paternal grandfather, Clay Latham; paternal grandmother, Daisy Latham; maternal grandfather, Cecil Tolbert; maternal grandmother, Alma Tolbert. Verlin is survived by his wife, Linda Latham of Camdenton, Missouri; son, Robert Latham and wife Rebecca of Camdenton, Missouri; daughter, Jennifer Wilson and husband James of Camdenton, Missouri; granddaughter, Hannah Borgmeyer and husband Preston of Buffalo, Missouri; granddaughter, Raegan Wilson of Camdenton, Missouri; granddaughter, Isabel Latham of Camdenton, Missouri; granddaughter, Ireland Latham of Camdenton, Missouri; great-granddaughter, Payton Borgmeyer of Buffalo, Missouri; mother, Lena Latham of Camdenton, Missouri; sister, Sandra Gentry and husband Ron of Camdenton, Missouri. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends who will all truly miss him. Verlin grew in Ferguson, Missouri, where he would graduate from McCluer High School. Following his high school graduation, he was united in marriage to Linda Kay Lee on August 15, 1970. Verlin Worked with Mid-County Fire Protection District, earning the rank of Assistant Fire Chief. After his time of service with the fire department, he began working at Camden-County Road and Bridge, where he served as manager of the service department. In his spare time, he loved fishing, hunting, gardening, and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchild. Verlin made a profession of faith and was a member of the Camdenton Bible Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son and brother, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends. Memorial donations may be made to The Latham Family or The American Cancer Society and left at the funeral home the day of the service. A Funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 30, 2022 at Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Visitation will take place from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Interment will take place in Allee Memorial Gardens, Camdenton, Missouri. The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the family or the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton.
