Vicky Lynn Leffert, daughter of Eugene and Barbara Eunice Edwards Burns, was born, September 2, 1957 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She went home to be with her Lord, Sunday morning, February 3, 2019, in Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of sixty-one years, five months and one day. On July 3, 1976, she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Donnie Leffert and to this union they were blessed with two sons. Together they shared forty-two years of marriage. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Shawn Burns, Keith Burns, Rick Burns and Kevin Burns and her father-in-law, Jim Leffert. Survivors include her husband, Donnie Leffert of Linn Creek, Missouri; her two sons, Dusty Burns and wife Amy of Camdenton, Missouri and Allen Leffert and wife Lisa of Richland, Missouri: nine grandchildren, Kevin, Jesse, Noah, Caleb, Mikayla, Tristian, Connor, Mia and Nella; her brother, Russell Burns and wife Cassidy of Camdenton, Missouri; her mother-in-law, Lois Leffert of Montreal, Missouri; two brothers-in-law, Glenn Leffert and wife Little and Carl Leffert and wife Linda; two sisters-in-law, Debra McGuire and wife David and Rita Telfer and Patrick Leary as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Vicky was known to many as Grandma Vicky. Vicky was saved when she was a teenager at Webster Grove Missionary Baptist Church and was a member of New Hope Church. She loved to spread the word of God. She had started a page on Facebook, “Our house prayer meeting”, and had touched many thru this. She loved teaching Sunday school, going to revivals and holding prayer meetings at her home where they would study the Bible, pray for everyone that had prayer request and singing praise songs. Her world was first and foremost, serving, praising and spreading the word of God. In her spare time, she grew the most beautiful flowers and plants. She could be found crocheting and sewing for her family and friends and going antiquing. She had a passion for traveling, especially to the ocean. The time Vicky treasured the most, was when she was with her husband, kids and grandkids. Vicky was a loving wife, mom, grandma, sister, daughter-in-law, sister-in-law, aunt and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and will treasure the many memories that she had created for all of her family and friends. We will also treasure knowing that the night before her passing, that she was doing what she loved the most, being at a revival praising God.
