Victoria Louise Murrill, daughter of William “Bill” and Connie Tosspon Wetherill Hamilton, was born, January 30, 1958 in Kansas City, Missouri. She departed this life, November 4, 2021, in Mercy Hospital, Springfield, Missouri at the age of sixty-three years, nine months and five days. On October 29, 1994 in Prospect, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Benny Ray Murrill, whom she loved dearly. Together they shared twenty-seven years of marriage. She was preceded in death by mother, Connie Hamilton and husband "Pa" Larry; two brothers, Steve Lee Sisk and Wesley Reedy; her son, Heath Murrill and her beloved fur-baby, Gracie Mae of recent twelve years. Survivors include her husband, Benny Murrill of Marshfield, Missouri; her daughter, Melanie Rennison and husband Gary Rennison of Springfield, Missouri; two sons, Scott Murrill of Mansfield, Missouri and Brant Murrill and wife Shelly of Niangua, Missouri; her five granddaughters, Sarah, Haley, Heather, Samantha and Trinity; her four grandsons, Shawn, Brett, Damen and Cole; three great-grandchildren; her father Bill Wetherill and wife Doris of Roach, Missouri; three brothers Ron Baake and wife Wendy of Morrison, Colorado, Rob Baake and wife Kim of Carthage, Missouri and Carl Akers and wife Brenda of Pensacola, Florida; four sisters, Laurie Marler and husband Leo of Lebanon, Missouri, Zoë (Missy) Evans of Osage Beach, Missouri, Stacie Nelson of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Shannon Watt of Lee Summit, Missouri; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She worked thirty plus years as an oncology nurse with Mercy. She was a wonderful nurse and friend to her many patients. Vickie made a profession of faith and was a dedicated member of Crossway Baptist Church, Springfield, Missouri. She had a strong desire to follow Jesus and she loved her church family dearly. In her spare time, she crafted and sewed many beautiful quilts for friends and family that they will truly treasure. She was always cooking, baking and caring for others. As many people would say, “Vickie had a servant’s heart…it was her gift”. She was a loving wife, mom, grandma, great-grandma, daughter, sister, aunt and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends. She has left us all with a memorable legacy. Celebration of Life services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, November 13, 2021 in Crossway Baptist Church, 2900 N. Barnes Avenue, Springfield, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Crossway Annual Mission Fund or Operation Christmas Child and left at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton, Missouri.
