Vince Matlock

VINCE MATLOCK Vincent Stuart Matlock, son of James Matthew and Clara Ellen Head Matlock, was born, December 25, 1943 in St. James, Missouri. He departed this life, Monday, September 26, 2011, in his home, Climax Springs, Missouri at the age of sixty-seven years, nine months and one day. On March 22, 2004 in Las Vegas, Nevada, he was united in marriage to Patricia Ann Ryken. Together they shared seven years of marriage He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Charles R. Matlock and two sisters, Joy Froelich and Betty Shuey. Survivors include his wife, Pat Matlock of the home; two daughters, Loretta Dustman and husband Richard of Stout, Ohio and Shelli Tilman of Holden, Missouri; two step-children, Anthony Dialoiso of Independence, Missouri and Kimberly Huffaker and husband Rex of Overland Park, Kansas; five step-grandchildren, Joey and Jacob Dialoiso and Sara, Kyle and Tori Huffaker; two brothers, William J. Matlock and wife Bonnie and James Matlock and wife Theresa all of St. James, Missouri; two sisters, Dorothy Austermann of Wentzville, Missouri and Dolly Stough and husband Don of Rolla, Missouri; two brothers-in-law, Edward B. Froelich of St. James, Missouri and Robert Ryken and wife Lucille of Lee's Summit, Missouri and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Vince was raised in St. James, Missouri and was a graduate of John F. Hodge High School in the class of 1961. He moved to the Kansas City area and began a career in commercial construction. He moved to a farm in Cleveland, Missouri and began farming while continuing in construction. He retired to the Lake of the Ozarks nine years ago. He was an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting and fishing. He spent many hours trap shooting and was a member of a trap shooting club. He was a loving husband, father, brother and uncle and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends. A memorial service will be held at a later date with burial in Matlock Cemetery, St. James, Missouri. Memorial donations may be made to the family and left at the funeral home. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
