Wayne Drysdale

WAYNE DRYSDALE Wayne Edward Drysdale, son of Harold Edwin and Effie Greer Drysdale, was born, December 3, 1938 in St. Louis, Missouri. He departed this life, Saturday, August 31, 2013, in University Hospital, Columbia, Missouri at the age of seventy-four years, eight months and twenty-eight days. On December 11, 1982 in St. Louis, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Carol Sue Milkovitz. Together they shared thirty years of marriage. Survivors include his wife, Carol Drysdale of Linn Creek, Missouri; children, Michael Drysdale of Bourbon, Missouri, Cindy Coplen and husband Don of St. Peters, Missouri, Kim Hitchcock and husband Scott of Warrenton, Missouri and Liz Puckett and husband Mark of Florissant, Missouri; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Gary Drysdale and wife Sherry of Robertsville, Missouri; two sisters, Wilma Pigg and husband Vern of Lake Placid, Florida and Alice Jean Ellidge of Cahokia, Illinois and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Wayne was raised in St. Louis, Missouri and lived there most of his life. He had a long career as an engineer for Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District. He moved to Cedar Hill in 1990 and retired to the Lake of the Ozarks in 2000. Wayne's passion was bass fishing. He competed in many bass tournaments with Carol. Any free time he found, he loved being on the water fishing. He had an appreciation for the outdoors and enjoyed yard work and just being outside. He was a volunteer for Lake Regional Hospital since 2007. He was also a member of the Elk Lodge #2517 in Osage Beach. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, September 3, 2013 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton. No formal funeral service will be held. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
