WILLARD MORRIS Willard Warren Morris, son of Charles Wesley and Ellen Danuser Morris, was born, November 4, 1920 in Linn Creek, Missouri. He departed this life, Tuesday, August 18, 2009, in his home, Montreal, Missouri at the age of eighty-eight years, nine months and fourteen days. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Jim Morris and six sisters, Artie Crouch, Ida Hanks, Bessie Clark, Donnie Platter, Mary Ellen Duermyer and Lorene Boze. Survivors include his wife, Ina Morris of the home; three children, Warren Morris and wife Lori of Montreal, Missouri, Marjorie Morris of Agora Hills, California and Mark Morris and wife Erica of Kansas City, Missouri; three grandchildren, Joey, Michelle and Wilson; a brother, Charles "Bud" Morris and wife Dale of Roach, Missouri; three sisters, Estelle Galloway, Elizabeth Nicks and Grace Terry all of Camdenton, Missouri and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Willard was raised in Camden County and attended school there. He joined the Civilian Conservation Corp during the depression and worked in Utah. He later joined the Army Air Corp served in Alaska during the end of World War II. He remained in Alaska and worked for a time before returning to Missouri. He worked as a civilian barber at Fort Leonard Wood for twenty-five years. He was a cattle farmer in the Montreal area for most of his working life. Willard made a profession of faith and was a member of Freedom Church of Christ in Montreal. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting fishing and working his farm. Most of all, he enjoyed time spent with family and friends. He was a loving husband father, grandfather, brother and uncle and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 21, 2009 in Freedom Church of Christ under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Freedom Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 Thursday in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to St. John's Hospice and left at the funeral home or the church the day of the service. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton.
