William Robert "Bill" Shipman, son of Earl C. and Ruth Blankenship Shipman, was born July 1, 1939 in Linn Creek, Missouri. He departed this life Saturday, July 27, 2019 in Osage Beach Health Care Center, at the age of eighty years and twenty-six days. On October 8, 1961, Bill was united in marriage to Sharon Ann Tabin Leap, and together they shared over fifty years until her passing on May 8, 2014. Bill was also preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Ed and Butch Shipman; and a sister, Bonnie Kuhn. He is survived by his children, Penny Sinak and husband Michael of St. Louis, Missouri, and Lisa Rotar and husband Ronald of Dixon, Missouri; three grandchildren, Luke Sinak and wife Beth, Levi Sinak and wife Megan, and Rebekah Ziegler and husband John; three great-grandchildren, Isaac, Ava, and Jude Sinak, as well as one on the way; one brother, Fred Shipman and wife Peggy; two sisters, Linda Starr and husband Danny and Ellen Bradley and husband Rick; a sister-in-law, Cheryl Shipman; as well as a host of other relatives and many dear friends. Bill was a lifelong resident of Camden County and worked as an Electrician at Lake Regional Hospital for over thirty years. He was a member of the National Rifle Association. In his spare time, Bill enjoyed hunting and fishing. Bill had a fondness for motorcycles and had rebuilt a 1942 Indian Motorcycle from the ground up many years ago. Bill was a loving father, grandfather, brother and uncle and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and accomplishments and will treasure the many wonderful memories he has created for his family and dear friends. Graveside Services with full Military Honors will be held at 2:30, Tuesday, July 30, 2019 in Freedom Cemetery, Montreal, Missouri. Visitation will be Tuesday from 1-2:00 p.m. in the Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton, Missouri. Memorial Donations may be made to the Freedom Cemetery and can be mailed to the funeral home at 15 Clint Avenue, Camdenton, MO 65020. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton, Missouri.
