William Stamper

WILLIAM "BILL" STAMPER William Morgan Stamper, son of Ernest and Ollie Burch Stamper, was born, February 12, 1931 in Linn Creek, Missouri. He departed this life, Thursday, December 31, 2009 in Osage Beach Health Care Center, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of seventy-eight years, ten months and nineteen days. On November 1, 1955 he was united in marriage to Lula Marie Spencer. She preceded him in death on March 30, 2002 after forty-six years of marriage. He was also preceded in death by a son, Gary Stamper and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include his son, Robin Stamper and wife Vicky of Linn Creek, Missouri; three granddaughters, Jessica Stamper of Springfield, Missouri, Nicole Stamper of Linn Creek, Missouri and Tanya Fuhr of Kansas City, Kansas; a great-grandson, Brenden Fain of Springfield, Missouri; a sister, Stella Vaughn of Adrian, Missouri and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Bill was raised in Linn Creek, Missouri. He served his country proudly in the United States Army. After being honorably discharged from the military, he returned to the Linn Creek area. He did wood work and various factory jobs until he was forced to retire due to health issues. He was a talented musician and played the guitar, mandolin and sang. He also enjoyed fishing. He could be found most days "piddling" in his shed. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and uncle and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends. No funeral services will be held at this time. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to a fund established to assist the family and left at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton.
