WILMA McGUIRE Wilma Essie McGuire, daughter of George and Alice Walters Shaw, was born, April 20, 1927 in Old Linn Creek, Missouri. She departed this life, Monday, August 10, 2015, in Windsor Estates Care Center, Camdenton, Missouri at the age of eighty-eight years, three months and twenty-one days. On June 15, 1946 in Camden County, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Russell McGuire and to this union three sons were born. Together they shared forty-six years of marriage before his passing on February 2, 1993. She was also preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Helen Gregory and Pearl Lucille McGuire. Survivors include her sons, George McGuire and wife Jacque of Lebanon, Missouri, James McGuire and wife Sandra of Linn Creek, Missouri and Michael McGuire and wife Patricia of Weston, Florida; eight grandchildren, Misty Pryor and husband Paul, Bill McGuire, Mandi McGuire, Julie Anderson and husband Jeff, Chris McGuire and wife Joliene, Chad McGuire and wife Morgan, Ryan McGuire and wife Kristen and Gabriel McGuire; ten great-grandchildren, Katie and Cole McGuire, Matthew and Allison Pryor, Mia McGuire, Reagan Anderson, Claire McGuire, Ryan Anderson, Grant McGuire and Colin McGuire and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Wilma was raised in the Linn Creek and Hugo area of Camden County and was a life-long resident. She worked for the Camdenton School System and the Old Linn Creek Auction. She enjoyed selling AVON which gave her the opportunity of visit with friends while she worked. Wilma was saved at Hugo Church on August 11, 1950 and was a faithful member of Decaturville Missionary Baptist Church. She loved participating in church activities. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the joy of her life and loved spending time with them. She enjoyed visiting with friends and family. She was an excellent cook and you always got fed when you went to her home. She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother. She made an impact on many lives and her memory will linger in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 12, 2015 in Decaturville Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Myetta Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-3 p.m. Wednesday in the church. Memorial donations may be made to Myetta Cemetery Trust Fund and left at the funeral home or the church the day of the service. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
